Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone studying or working in science at graduate level or above.
Short description
This photography competition is organised by The Royal Society, based in London, UK.
Participants are invited to submit photographs that convey an interesting scientific phenomenon.
Photos may be submitted to one of five categories:
• Astronomy,
• Behaviour,
• Earth Science and Climatology,
• Ecology and Environmental Science,
• Micro-imaging.
Entries must be accompanied by a minimum 150 word description of the scientific phenomena shown.
Entry fees
Entry is free of charge.
Prizes
• Overall Winner: £1,000 and cover feature in a Royal Society journal
• Category Winners: £500 each
